I have worked as a Psychotherapist in Private Practice in Santa Barbara since 2006. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute (2005) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology: Social Sciences from Stanford University (1996). I have experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and I speak conversational Spanish.

In addition to working as a Psychotherapist in Private Practice, I was a school counselor for the Hope School District for 12 years. I also worked for Santa Barbara City College Adult Education for 7 years as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, Mentor Teacher, and Curriculum Specialist. Prior to these positions, I worked on an organic farm, cared for children in a day-care, provided guidance to teenagers regarding pregnancy prevention at Girls’ Inc., tutored students at Anacapa School, and taught various after-school art classes at several elementary schools.

Working as a therapist allows me to do what I love the most, which is to be present with others in a compassionate and supportive way, offering guidance and tools to better respond to the challenges in life.

Outside of working as a therapist, I enjoy nature, hiking, yoga, craftwork, photography, travel, and spending time with my life partner and our animals: 3 cats, 2 dogs, and a horse.
